Our reopening plans
We'll be opening over 250 of our sites in phases over the coming months.

Our teams are working hard behind the scenes to make sure you can enjoy your visits to Scotland’s iconic sites this summer.
The following sites are now fully or partially open. You'll need to book in advance to visit and some restrictions may still be in place for your safety. Details and booking links can be found on our reopening pages.

We’ll be closely monitoring Scottish Government plans and considering the circumstances in each local area. If anything changes after you’ve booked tickets, we’ll automatically cancel and refund bookings within 30 days – there's no need to contact us.

Our top priority remains the health, safety and security of all of our visitors, staff and volunteers.
We have safety measures in place including:
- social distancing
- contactless payment where possible
- one-way systems in some locations
Some areas of sites, such as indoor spaces, will be closed. Visitor numbers will be limited for safety reasons.

Beyond the places that we care for, we are also working closely with the historic environment sector to develop a long term vision and better understand the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
We are part of the COVID-19 Historic Environment Resilience Forum, a collaborative space for partners in Scotland’s historic environment sector to support Scotland’s national recovery.
We are also compiling reliable and comprehensive data on how all parts of the historic environment sector in Scotland have been affected, while having facilitated a £2.6 million fund to support the recovery of Scotland’s historic environment sector from the impacts of COVID-19.
