Three steps to deliver SQA Qualifications
To offer SQA qualifications you must first become an approved centre.
Our dedicated team are here to support you and your organisation and guide you each step of the way.
Getting started - Complete the centre approval enquiry form
Complete the centre approval enquiry form, this is where we get to know a bit more about your centre’s needs. We will be in touch to set up a meeting to ensure that working with SQA is right for you.
1. Complete your application
You will get a call or a visit from your Account Manager who will guide and support you through the application process which includes:
- completing a customer acceptance Form (CAF)
- finance check
- due diligence
See our quality assurance section for more information.
Your account manager will work with you every step of the way.
2. Arrange a visit
Two forms of approval will happen. Once we receive your forms, a Quality Enhancement Manager will arrange a centre approval meeting.
At this point a subject approval meeting will also be arranged and carried out by a subject expert External Verifier
After review the Quality Enhancement Manager and External Verifier will submit a report and communicate any feedback and recommendations .
You'll typically hear from us within 10 days.
3. Approval decision
There are two outcomes.
Approved
You will receive a Centre Operating agreement (COA) which will need to be signed and returned to SQA.
Once received, we'll issue your SQA centre number and you can start registering candidates.
Not yet approved
We make this decision when you have not met our criteria. We offer help to re-apply.
Whatever the outcome, your account manager is always on hand for continued support and advice.
