SIS resources can be used to deliver Quality Improvement education programmes locally. These resources are designed to be used by Improvers with experience of training and/or facilitating learning interventions. The Improvers will use these resources to deliver part or all of a practitioner level Quality Improvement education programme. The materials are designed for a programme aimed at people working in NHSScotland and Integrated Health and Care roles, who are leading local improvement projects.
The resources are designed to be used in two different ways. The full programme can be delivered as a whole, over 4 – 7 months. Alternatively, a selection of modules from the programme can be delivered as required, independently or as part of a larger programme.
Improvers need to assist programme participants to gain access to a local support network, so that they receive appropriate mentoring and/or coaching as part of the programme’s workplace learning, and beyond.
It is recommended that you read the Step by Step Guide and Evaluation guidance before selecting specific Scottish Improvement Skills resources.
The Scottish Improvement Skills Step by Step Guide outlines the programme content, approach and resource requirements.
We increase the chances of achieving positive outcomes from our learning interventions if we plan for impact from the outset. Guidance on evaluation of the programme includes templates and impact planning examples.
The programme can be delivered as a whole, over 4 – 7 months, with the following components.
Download the zip folders to access the resources.
Material from the complete programme is available in a modular format. Each module is designed so that it can stand alone, or enable the complete SIS programme to be delivered to a different schedule.
Download a zip folder for each module group.
