The previous meeting was held <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/review-of-hncd-interactive-media\/\">last January<\/a>. The purpose of the meeting was to review progress and agree future tasks and timescales. I <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/hncd-interactive-media-update\/\">recently met with the Lead Developer<\/a> and we felt it was a good time for the QDT to meet again.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/IM-QDT-meeting-3.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1776\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1776\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/IM-QDT-meeting-3-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"IM QDT meeting 3\" width=\"451\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/IM-QDT-meeting-3-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/IM-QDT-meeting-3-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/IM-QDT-meeting-3-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/IM-QDT-meeting-3-600x337.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/IM-QDT-meeting-3.jpg 1378w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 451px) 100vw, 451px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The QDT is proposing new titles for the awards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HNC Digital Design\u00a0&amp; Web Development<\/li>\n<li>HND Web Development<\/li>\n<li>HND Digital Development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This\u00a0development has been held up by <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/staff-changes\/\">staff changes<\/a> in the team but it&#8217;s now progressing well. We hope to <strong>validate the award in April<\/strong> and have it <strong>available to centres by June<\/strong>. At this stage, the QDT is busy writing the component Units and the Lead Developer is busy writing the Group Award Specification.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m pleased about how this development is shaping up. The draft frameworks look exciting, with lots of new content, reflecting the changes in the job market for\u00a0web developers and\u00a0digital designers.
