I met with the Lead Developer (Denise Doyle of Glasgow City College) yesterday afternoon to discuss recent progress.<\/p>\n<p>The prime aim of the development is to create two awards that articulate with the University of Strathclyde&#8217;s <em>Digital Academy<\/em> but they will be national qualifications and, therefore, must serve a wider audience. So they are being developed in the normal way &#8212; with a Qualification Development Team (QDT) and a Lead Developer. We will consult widely to ensure that the qualifications meet the needs of the entire Scottish community.<\/p>\n<p>Denise is working on the Group Award Specification and a number of draft Units have been written. But there&#8217;s still a lot of work to do. We&#8217;re going to arrange another meeting of the QDT next month to review progress and decide when these new awards will be ready for centres.
