We&#8217;re developing nine new HN Units in total: <em>Software Development: Analysis &amp; Design<\/em>, <em>Software Development: Implementation &amp; Testing<\/em>, and <em>Software Development: Project<\/em>. It was a good event with lots of discussion about the nuances of unit writing. The unit briefs have been produced so it&#8217;s now a case of putting principles into practice and producing the unit specifications.<\/p>\n<p>This new award aims to produce job-ready programmers to address the skills gap in this area. There has been a great deal of interest in it so it&#8217;s important that we get the Units as &#8220;right&#8221; as we can. The new PDAs will be available to centres from <strong>February 2016<\/strong>.
