  • Log of cases
    • Please use Logbook provided
    • Include all supervised / unsupervised cases.
    • Continue to maintain log of all IS cases once practicing independently – you will need to keep doing this for all sedation cases you complete... even going forward beyond this year.
  • Written case study of an IS case
    • Case study guidance provided. This does not have to be one of your assessed cases, and should focus on the whole process from assessment through to treatment of the patient.

 

DCT INHALATION SEDATION PORTFOLIO GUIDANCE

The portfolios must include:

  • Record of training, COVID-19 protocol:
  • Assessment
    • 10 DOPs of supervised IS cases– Evidenced in your e-portfolio. Please number the cases 1-10 in your e-portfolio.
    • A mini –CEX demonstrating that you have successfully carried out a sedation assessment. Evidenced in your e-portfolio
    • 1 Case Based Discussion of an inhalation sedation case. Evidenced in your e-portfolio
    • Your Core Training Adviser (CTA) will have to access these directly through Turas.
