DCT INHALATION SEDATION PORTFOLIO GUIDANCE

The portfolios must include:

• Record of training, COVID-19 protocol:
  • IS Theory: available online through Turas. Please self-certify this.
  • IS In-house training: Recorded and signed by clinical supervisor on in-house training certificate.
  • Managing Medical Emergency training: Please self-certify this.
  • IS theory and MME certificate of training.
• Assessment
  • 10 DOPs of supervised IS cases– Evidenced in your e-portfolio. Please number the cases 1-10 in your e-portfolio.
  • A mini –CEX demonstrating that you have successfully carried out a sedation assessment. Evidenced in your e-portfolio
  • 1 Case Based Discussion of an inhalation sedation case. Evidenced in your e-portfolio
  • Your Core Training Adviser (CTA) will have to access these directly through Turas.
