The validation event<\/a> for the revised HNC\/D Interactive Media<\/em> took place in June and since then we’ve been addressing the conditions and recommendations.\u00a0We’re just about there. The only task that remains is finalising the Graded Units.\u00a0 As noted previously, the revised qualification has new titles:<\/p>\n

  1. 1. HNC Digital Design & Web Development<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. 2. HND Digital Design & Development<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. 3. HND Web Development.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I’m delighted with how these awards have turned out. They have been thoroughly updated with new titles, new contents and new approaches. Component units include: Digital Graphics Fundamentals<\/em>, User Interface Design<\/em>, Digital Marketing<\/em>,\u00a0Physical Computing<\/em> and Emerging Technologies & Experiences<\/em>. To take one of these – the Emerging Technologies<\/a> unit. This covers virtual and augmented reality, big data, the Internet of Things, virtual worlds and machine intelligence.<\/p>\n

    We still have to code the qualification (which will take a week or two) before there is a subject page for these new awards, but in the meantime you can download\u00a0the Group Award Specification<\/a> (which covers\u00a0all three awards) and get\u00a0the units in the usual place<\/a>.<\/p>\n
