It&#8217;s at the same stage as the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/hncd-computer-games-development-update\/\">HNC\/D Computer Games Development review<\/a> &#8211; the team are busy writing the new and revised units. This is a larger development than Computer Games, with <strong>27 new or revised units<\/strong> being written. Some are almost complete and some are at an early stage. I&#8217;ve asked for all of the units to be completed by the middle of February.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of progress has been made. New titles have been decided, the aims of the qualification have been agreed, a structure has been proposed, unit writers have been trained, and (as noted above) unit writing is underway. Fiona has made a lot of progress with the Group Award Specification. The proposed new titles are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HNC Digital Design &amp; Web Development<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>HND Digital Development<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>HND Web Development.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will be a third (and final) QDT meeting at the end of February when we will review progress and decide a feasible date for making the new award available to centres.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, everything needs to be validated before it&#8217;s finalised. The validation date will depend on the progress that we make in the next few weeks.
