This award has been under review since January, when the<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/pc-passport-qdt-meeting\/\"> first QDT meeting<\/a> took place. We&#8217;ve made a lot of progress since then.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/1drv.ms\/1AleDTW\">qualification FAQ <\/a>summarises the current state of the development. We&#8217;ve agreed a structure (at all three levels) and we are currently writing the units. They&#8217;re coming along well. We hope to validate the qualification late 2015 and have it available to centres from <strong>January 2016<\/strong>. We&#8217;re on target to meet those dates.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve went back-to-basics with PC Passport 2015. It&#8217;s much simpler than the 2007 version, and goes back to the original concept of one unit per application. We&#8217;re also hoping to put vendor certification back into it, and we&#8217;re actively <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/pc-passport-and-microsoft-office-specialist\/\">talking to Microsoft<\/a> about their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/learning\/en-gb\/mos-certification.aspx\">MOS <\/a>qualifications.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:helen.zhang@sqa.org.uk\">Contact Helen<\/a> if you want to know more about this development or see early versions of the units.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been meaning to find the time to update you about\u00a0PC Passport.
