CSO places great importance on ensuring that the work that it funds is relevant for patients, and that the view of the public and patients are taken into account in all aspects of CSO work. The main forum for this is our Public Engagement Group, although we also link with other organisations such as INVOLVE where appropriate. We also encourage our Clinical Research Networks to involve patients in their work.
For those interested in ongoing clinical research in the UK, information can be found from:
- UK Clinical Trials Gateway (UKCTG)
- Current Controlled Trials
If you are interested in participating in clinical research you should register with SHARE (Scottish Health Research Register).
Lay summaries detailing the findings from research funded through CSO grants and personal Fellowships can be downloaded.
