The next round of the NRS Career Researcher Fellowships is now open for applications. – Closing date Wednesday 17th November 2021.

The aim of this scheme is to support General Practitioners and NHS-funded clinical staff in developing a research career within their post. This includes – qualified doctors, nurses, AHPs, pharmacists, biomedical/clinical scientists, public health specialists and psychologists.

The award provides funding for protected time to contribute to, conduct and lead clinical research to strengthen the research culture in the NHS.

NIHR are seeking to fund a research consortium to deliver a complex community-based clinical trial platform for antiviral candidates for COVID-19  that could augment the current vaccine and therapeutic programmes.

Due to the urgency of this research applications will be fast-tracked. Applicants will be asked to complete a stage 2 application and there will be a one stage assessment process. Timelines for submitting the proposal will also be very tight. – deadline 13.00 on 17th August.

Details for the next round of CSO Clinical Academic Fellowships are now available on the Clinical Academic Fellowship Page. This year the scheme has been revised and is now also inviting applications from NMAHPs and Healthcare Scientists.
