Scottish Apprenticeship Week

This week saw ministers from across the Scottish Government taking part in Scottish Apprenticeship Week.

 

 

Fair Work Secretary Derek Mackay announced on Sunday 3rd March that that the target for Graduate Apprenticeships in 2019/20 has been increased to 1,300.

On Monday the First Minister visited Forth Valley College to launch the Scottish Apprenticeship Network – encouraging the next generation to take advantage of apprenticeship opportunities. She also had the chance to speak to many of their female engineering apprentices.

On Thursday Minister Jamie Hepburn announced the new target for modern apprenticeship numbers for the next year.
