Due to current coronavirus advice, the Accountant in Bankruptcy’s office remains closed until further notice. However, we are continuing to deliver our full range of services while staff continue to work from home.

If you wish to contact to someone about:

• a bankruptcy or bankruptcy application, a protected trust deed or the Debt Arrangement Scheme
• or if you are looking for information on the bankruptcy process or are unsure of who to speak to
• ordering a publication or a discharge certificate
• if you want to speak to someone in a specific AiB team
• need to contact AiB for a general enquiry;

The office of the Accountant in Bankruptcy is located at:

The office is situated directly across from Kilwinning train station, 25 minutes from Glasgow.

There are also bus stops nearby with Kilwinning being served by the Stagecoach Express Service.

Parking

The car park is located to the rear of the building and operates a barrier system. There is an intercom at the car park barrier for visitors to contact reception to request access. These can be booked by telephoning 0300 200 2600. There are also disabled spaces available.

There are cycle racks available in the hogging area of the car park. You must provide your own cycle lock to secure your bicycle.

*Please note that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the AiB office is currently closed. 

The telephone lines are open to the general public from 09.00 - 16.30, Monday to Friday.

The office will be closed for business on the following public and privilege holidays 2021/22.

Complaints

It is important to us that complaints are dealt with promptly.  If you have a complaint about the service you have received from a department or an official, we will work with you to resolve the complaint in a full and fair way, keeping you informed of progress.
