Digital Champions Leadership Programme

This course is designed to support the empowerment agenda enabling participants to use self-evaluation processes to lead on digital developments across their establishment. They will engage in tailored development opportunities to enhance leadership and management skills and knowledge.

What are the benefits?

This course is a new addition to the leadership programme and is part of the development of the Digital School. As with all elements of the leadership programme, participants will be asked to identify, undertake and report on a change initiative within their own establishment.

The aims of the programme are:

  • to develop leadership across practitioners
  • to provide a pathway for teachers to allow them to advance in their profession through critical thinking and reflection
  • to ensure sustainability and build the capacity of future leaders within the service
  • to discuss and reflect issues pertinent to becoming an effective leader, focusing on Digital Learning and Teaching
  • to consider digital developments within Scottish Education.
Who is it for?

Class teachers, principal teachers and newly appointed deputy headteachers.

Duration

An application and leeting process took place at the start of November for cohort 1. The six sessions will run from November 2020 until April 2021. The anticipated timeframe for future cohorts will change to run in line with the three existing leadership programmes.
