Regular readers will know<\/a> that the Next Gen project is currently modernising a number of Higher National Qualifications including some in Computing. The work is being done in phases and the first phase included two Computing awards: HNC Computing and HND Data Science. This work is now almost complete.<\/p>\n

We’re about to begin the second phase, which will modernise three additional Computing qualifications.<\/p>\n

  1. HND Computer Science<\/li>\n
  2. HND Networking & Infrastructure<\/li>\n
  3. HND Software Development.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In time, all Higher Nationals will be modernised including the remaining Computing qualifications.<\/p>\n

    The first task is to create a Qualification Development Team (QDT). We will contact the original QDT members to ask if they wish to continue but there’s also an opportunity for new people to join. Please let Amy know<\/a> if you’re interested. It’s a great opportunity to shape these new qualifications. The QDT will work throughout 2022, meeting occasionally (online) during the year. The time commitment isn’t great and any additional work is paid on an individual basis.<\/p>\n
