The team returned to work on Wednesday to start what should be an exciting year. My <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/review-of-2021\/\">look back at 2021<\/a> covered what we did last year. This year we will be finishing off some of the developments that we started last year and commencing some new work.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re still finalising some units from the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/next-gen-update\/\">first phase of Next Gen HN<\/a> (not many &#8211; most are now validated) and there was a delay to the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/national-units-in-data-skills\/\">new Data Skills units<\/a>. I hope to conclude both pieces of work by the end of this month. This year we will commence three developments. The <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/next-gen-update-2\/\">second phase of Next Gen HN<\/a> will begin, we&#8217;re going to create a new Diploma in Digital Technology (SCQF Level 8) and we will also start work on <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/npa-esports\/\">NPA Esports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sqa.org.uk\/computing\/hello-3\/\">arrival of Amy<\/a>, the team now comprises me, Megan and Amy.
