Observing the Assembly
Principles of transparency and accessibility governed Scotland's Climate Assembly. All evidence sessions were recorded and we would encourage everyone to watch these sessions. Links are available on the Meetings page of this website.
A virtual observer session was hosted for each of the Assembly weekends where attendees could learn more about the Assembly’s evidence base and deliberative process and get involved with Q&As with some of our speakers. The virtual observer sessions at Weekend Six, which focused on the Assembly process, Weekend Seven, which reflected upon the Assembly’s learning journey, and Weekend Eight, which provided an opportunity to look back on the Assembly output and process, were recorded and are available to watch on the Meetings page of this website. The deliberations between Assembly members are private and it is not possible for observers to listen to or participate in those discussions, as is standard practice across citizens' assemblies.
A report on the observer programme can be accessed here, or by clicking the download link below. Any further questions should be directed to info@climateassembly.scot.
