Car Park Closure
Updated 10 March
- Car Park Closed- The Pattack Falls Car Park will be closed for a number of weeks as work to remove the viewing platform is completed. Please follow all onsite safety signage.
- Viewing Platform Closure: The old Pattack Falls viewing platform is currently closed to pedestrian access due to safety concerns relating to the structure. Operations to remove the platform and build a new viewing area have begun. Please obey all safety signage. There is a temporary closure of the informal trail along the River Pattack as a result. We apologise for any inconvenience.
- Forestry Operations: Forestry work is currently taking place in Strathmashie. Vehicles will be using local forest roads during this time, so please take extra care. Note that some waymarkers have been temporarily moved while these works are underway. Those wishing to access Druim an Ard ruins might find the clockwise route to be challenging underfoot. The ruins can also be accessed via forest roads, taking the route anti-clockwise and returning the same way. This is not a waymarked trail.

About
A picturesque waterfall hiding in the trees – and a haunting reminder of past lives
A short walk will take you to pretty waterfalls, tumbling through a rocky gorge in the forest. They look particularly good after some wet weather! The other trail here leads through attractive forest to an abandoned township: a reminder of the days when many families lived in small homesteads in the glen.
