I recently posted about a change to the way we communicate and support centres. I thought that this is a good time to describe the various social media channels we use.<\/p>\n
Firstly, there’s the SQA website<\/a> and, more importantly if you teach Computing, the Computing subject page<\/a>, where you’ll find information about all our qualifications and other important information such as reports from the Senior External Verifier.<\/p>\n As previously mentioned<\/a>, we’re focusing our support for specific qualifications on Yammer, where you’ll find a network of over 300 practising teachers, lecturers and trainers — and, of course, the SQA team. So you’ll get support from fellow professionals and the team. We’re also moving our committees to Yammer.<\/p>\n Over 1,000 people follow us on Twitter<\/a>, where we post regular updates and news about developments. We also Tweet about opportunities to get involved with our work, such as when we’re looking for new External Verifiers or people to help us develop qualifications.<\/p>\n Finally, of course, there’s this blog, which is the main means of communication with our community. The blog (unlike Twitter) gives us space to explain things (although we usually Tweet about important blog posts).<\/p>\n So, please bookmark the blog and follow us on Twitter.
