ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Change Manager to be based in our Gourock headquarters who can demonstrate proven ability to lead teams to deliver complex business change projects across a geographically and functionally diverse environment; providing leadership to the teams by developing and motivating team members to achieve their project goals.
A key responsibility of this role will be to look across the Change portfolio, and to ensure there is business engagement for the change, that the business is ready for the change and that the underlying changes are adopted.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY TASKS
• The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the effective delivery into the DML group of companies (initially CalMac Ferries Limited) of business-critical projects and change initiatives.
• Establish and develop a network of change resources across functions across the entire CalMac network, capable of driving and embedding new ways of working, working in collaboration with the Head Of Transformation.
• Develop and maintain the Change Roadmap and Journey model, and work with Group Comms to communicate this message effectively throughout the organisation to measurably improve the understanding and appreciation of the importance of Change within the organisation
• Manage and coordinate key reporting requirements including 'Change Impact Assessments', 'Business Readiness Assessments' and other reporting and forecasting processes
• Work with the Director of IT & Change, the Change Board, PMO, Project Managers and Change leads to ensure business readiness and governance activities are managed effectively
• Presents statistical change management data and enables the provision of change-related reports to the business at all levels
• Defines, documents and educates others in the business on change-related methodologies and best practices
• Coaches and guides change resources in the business who may require upskilling in implementing and managing change
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
• APMG Change Management certification or equivalent qualification, combined with proven success in a similar role within a commercial organisation
• Experience of delivering change using Lean/6 Sigma improvement techniques
• Able to demonstrate their experience and understanding of change management frameworks/methodologies, tools and supporting measures
• An individual who has a reputation of driving successful outcomes whilst maintaining strong working relationships
• An analytical thinker who is comfortable with using technical tools to collate, analyse and present complex information
• An expert planner who can build schedules, forecast and track tasks, and integrate activities to manage holistic business change
• A strong communicator, able to utilise varied methods and styles to deliver and embed Change-related content
• A problem solver who can assist in resolving Change Management issues and mitigate Change Management risks
• Able to demonstrate a proven track record of working across all levels of an organisation demonstrating strong stakeholder engagement, using active listening, providing feedback mechanisms, coupled with robust influencing skills capable of inspiring and motivating other through the change journey
• Experience with project and programme management disciplines in order to work closely with PMs & PMO.
• Sound understanding of learning styles and ability to flex their approach to suit
