Harris: Uig - Tarbert

The final week of the summer timetable, 16-22 October inclusive, will be released when the vessel deployment plan for the start of the overhaul period is confirmed. We will keep our customers and communities updated here on our website and via @CalMac_Updates on Twitter. 

Please check the service status of this route before you travel

Planning ahead - Book your ticket online before in advance of travel - even if you're a foot passenger. When you book online, you will immediately receive an eTicket direct to your email inbox. Each eTicket has a QR code, meaning you'll instantly be ready to board. There's no need to print at home or collect your tickets at the port, eTickets can be scanned from your device.  

Travelling with a bike - If you're travelling as a foot passenger and bringing your bike, please add your bike(s) to your booking, - this means that you have more certainty about space. This ticket will remain free of charge. If you're a vehicle passenger, travelling with a bike or roof rack, please add your details when prompted in the booking platform.  

Concessions and blue badge holders - Blue Badge concessions are now available online, meaning they'll be applied to your ticket. This is an alternative to visiting the port office / speaking with staff. Please continue to carry your concession card or equivalent when you travel.  

Please note: During periods of Spring tides, the carriage of some low clearance cars, campervans, caravans/trailers and motorhomes may be subject to restrictions as prior to the January outage. Please contact your port of departure prior to sailing to confirm if your vehicle type may be affected Uig or Tarbert (Harris).

Plans for the 30 October - 11 December Uig harbour closure will be published in line with the Winter 2023/24 timetables. 

Check-in is 45 minutes prior to departure for vehicles and 30 minutes for foot passengers - otherwise space will be reallocated. Late check-in may also lead to refusal of carriage.

Eilean Dorcha Festival - An amended timetable will operate between Uig - Tarbert/Lochmaddy to accommodate Eilean Dorcha Festival. All details can be found here.
