Hi,
Kindly review our faqs at https://wordpress.org/plugins/fast-velocity-minify/#faq
You may need to use the ignore list feature to exclude some files that conflict with each other when merged.
Thanks
Raul
hi, raul, how do i find out the files which are conflict, thanks
albert
should i just put the url into the ignore list like following which page has problem:
https://www.veedoo.us/checkout
thanks
Usually, you disable css processing and see if it fixes it.
If not, you put it back and disable js processing.Whichever option fixes it, you now know wich kind of files need to be excluded.
If for instance, it’s css, then you grab the list of files that were merged (visible on the status page “view log”) and copy paste all of them on the ignore list.
Then try to refresh the page with trouble and it should be working.
You will then delete one by one from the ignore list and try again, until you find the culprit (design will be broken again). You put that one back on the ignore list and continue through the list (because there might be more).
In the end, you should have one or two files that need to be on the ignore list.
What is your site url?
thanks for your information, but i am not good at it, below is my site url, you may try to add product to cart, then click check out, thanks
No you put css or js file urls there (the ones you see on the view log button).
For example, looking at your site, try to add these to the ignore list and see if it works:
/vc-ie8.min.cs /mailchimp-for-wp/assets/js/third-party/placeholders.min.js(exactly as you see them, the ignore list takes file names by partial names too)
These need to be ignored for sure, but others might be needed also.
You seem to be using the auto-optimize so if that works fine, then you should use it, unless you have a good reason to change.- This reply was modified 3 weeks, 5 days ago by Raul Peixoto.
You are not using my plugin actually, I just looked into your site.
You are using the auto-optimize plugin.i am using both, should i disable auto-optimize?
You can only use one plugin of each type.
Using both is just making it slower, so try each plugin separately and stick with the one that works alone.ok, now i deactivate auto-optimize, w3 cache and only use yours, i checked Stop removing Emojis and smiley and Inline all enqueued CSS in setting.
checked Render-blocking JS: Enable defer of JS for Pagespeed Insights in advance and purge cache in cloudflare.
clear my browser cache then run page test insight, it’s much worse than before, i only have 66, it used to be over 90 with green, you can test now that i only use your plugin now, maybe some setting is nor right?
albert
Hi, you can keep using w3 total cache, because you need it… but you can disable the minification part.
Your score is lower because of the Reduce server response time
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.veedoo.us&tab=mobileThe w3 total cache will take care of it (once it caches the page).
After that, there’s the Optimize images
Just click the “Download optimized image, JavaScript, and CSS resources for this page.” and upload just the images to the correct place (and purge cloudflare, else you cannot see them updated).also in check out page, click here to log in and click here to enter your coupon code can not be clicked, now if i just use your plugin, the menu and logo is back, only in check out page can not be log in:
https://www.veedoo.us/checkout
thanks
albertAlbert, we go back to the beginning or needing to add some files to the ignore list.
Unfortunately, that’s not something I can determine simply by looking at the site, or else I would gladly tell you what needs to be there.
If you are not an advanced user, you should probably hire a designer that understands these things. It’s fine to try a few plugins, but speed optimization is not an easy thing to do and it get’s harder the bigger the site is.
What I can tell you is that the same I said earlier applies. It’s a matter of finding the correct files to add to the ignore list and enabling the w3 total cache plugin.
Image optimization is done on the server level usually.
My plugin or w3 total cache doesn’t touch images. Thanks,
Raul
you mentioned :After that, there’s the Optimize images
Just click the “Download optimized image, JavaScript, and CSS resources for this page.where is the optimize images
On the page: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.veedoo.us&tab=mobile
Scroll down to the end of the recommendations.
There’s a message: “Download optimized image, JavaScript, and CSS resources for this page.
