Hi! I’ve recently installed MailPoet and am loving it.

However, when I decided to test the “Subscribe in comments” feature, I’ve discovered that it’s not working.

The feature box is checked and activated in plug-in settings along with the target list check box. The option is also visible and active in the comments section under all blog posts.

But when I tried it out with several of my own email addresses, nothing happened. I mean, I’ve left test comments under the posts and made sure I checked the “subscribe to blog” box.

No confirmation email was sent to those email addresses, and they also do not show up in the Subscribers list of the MailPoet plug-in. It feels like this feature does not do anything at all.

(For the record, I’ve checked the spam folders, and the native WordPress confirmation emails prompted by the same comments arrived safely).

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this and what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks a lot!

    Jana

Try that with a default WordPress theme (Twenty Sixteen or Seventeen). It should work.

Oh, so there is no way to use this feature with my theme Activello? That’s a bummer!!!

To be honest, I am not ready to switch themes just like that. I have put a lot of effort into customizing mine. I think Activello is one of the most common wp themes anyway. Is there is a possibility to make it work there?

    Thanks for your help!
