The MV Loch Tarbert, Loch an Tairbeirt in Gaelic, was designed for the summer traffic from Claonaig to Lochranza in the summer months. In the winter she heads out as a relief vessel, and has served the Sounds of Harris, Barra, Largs, Gigha, and the winter route from Tarbert to Portavadie and Lochranza.
