Maison De Moggy – Release your inner feline at Maison de Moggy, Scotland’s first ever cat café. With a range of different breeds of cats to talk to and play with whilst having a cuppa and a cake, this truly is the best place for all cat lovers in Edinburgh!
Panda & Sons – Arguably Edinburgh’s most well-hidden cocktail bar! Walking past, it looks like a retro barber shop, but you have to delve inside, through the secret bookcase to get down into the bar. With an extensive cocktail, wine and craft beer list, Panda & Sons is a brilliant find and a really cool place to have a drink.
Leith and Stockbridge Market – Held every Saturday, these markets are a great place to pick up some local produce as well as some filling street food. On the first Saturday of every month, the market also holds its own vegan stall too.
Lauriston Castle – A beautiful castle with beautiful views over the North Sea. Why not take a walk through the Japanese Gardens, take a tour of the castle, or catch one of the costumed shows in the grounds. You can also take a walk along Cramond beach for an ice cream once you’re done!
Dean Village – A 19th century village that was famous for its water mills. You can take a walk back in time by wandering through this village, seeing sights like, St. Bernard’s Well and Well Court. Just a five minute walk from Princes Street, visiting the village is a no-brainer!
Wings – Exactly what it says on the tin! The only restaurant in Edinburgh specifically dedicated to chicken wings. With 7 different categories, loads of different varieties and an array of heat levels, Wings literally has it all when it comes to, well, wings! The walls are lathered in sci-fi memorabilia, definitely a place for a chicken lover.
National Museum of Scotland Rooftop Terrace – Located on the 7th floor of the National Museum, the rooftop terrace is often missed by visitors. You will struggle to find a better view of the city from here, it is a beautiful terrace with a view of almost everything. There is also a map telling you what you are looking at in each direction if you aren’t too familiar with the Edinburgh skyline.

Portions are huge and there is often quite a few good slices and their new burgers are divine. I believe half the menu is vegan with heaps of GF options.

Another place of interest is the Sheep Heid Inn, also in Duddingston, is one of the oldest pubs in the Edinburgh.
