Beat the Street Glasgow Canals

SNH is helping to fund the Glasgow Canals ‘Beat the Street’ initiative which is being led by Scottish Canals focusing on a section of the Forth & Clyde Canal.  Contributing to the project is a way to highlight the National Walking and Cycling Network which includes Scotland’s Great Trails, and because of its close alignment to the principles of Our Natural Health Service.

2019 possible Nature Conservation MPA consultation

The Scottish Government is currently consulting on four possible Marine Protected Areas (pMPAs) for Scotland's seas.  The consultation is inviting views on the case for the individual pMPAs and their possible environmental and socio-economic impacts and management.
