ISD holds and maintains a range of data relating to general practices in Scotland.
- Information about GP workforce & Practice populations, including quarterly and annual reports on the number of GP practices, GPs and practice populations across Scotland.
- Our Primary Care Information (PCI) dashboards are available to GP practices and NHS staff across Scotland, and provide data at GP Practice, Cluster and regional level.
- A list of all GP practice level data sets available for GP practices to access online is also available.
The GP Data Collection Tool - is an on-line tool accessed through a web browser which has been developed to capture collections of data to support both the new Scottish General Medical Services Contract negotiations and Primary Care Workforce Planning. This data collection has been commissioned by the Primary Care Division of the Scottish Government. All General Practices in Scotland are asked to provide this data.
The Scottish Primary Care Information Resource (SPIRE) - is a single national system to report on or extract data from General Practice clinical IT systems in Scotland. It is currently being rolled out to GP practices across Scotland.
