We are looking for a confident, dynamic, forward thinking nurse who can lead and effectively manage a large team. You will require excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You will be self motivated, proactive and an innovative individual with the ability to be flexible and react positively to on-going changing demands and priorities.

Knowledge of blood collection processes would be advantageous as you will be required to undertake venepuncture and medical selection duties.

You must also be able to demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional development working within the competencies framework.

The position is based in Dundee; travel throughout the region is required at times. You must be flexible, and willing to work variable hours. Hours will include weekends and late evenings.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check.

Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Candidates must have current RGN registration at the time of applying.

The position is within Donor Services Blood Collection Team is based in Aberdeen; however extensive travel throughout the region is required. You must be flexible, and willing to work variable hours. Hours will include regular Sundays and regular late evenings.
Knowledge of health care or other customer focused environments is essential. Standard keyboard skills are essential as are good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

The individual must have experience working within the Domestic field as he/she will have responsibility for ensuring health, safety and compliance for the function across the sites he/she has responsibility for ensuring that an efficient Domestic service for the NSS and third party occupier estate and partner organisations. 
The post holder will be predominantly required to supervise Domestic teams, however there is also a requirement to support in the supervision of staff within other areas such as Reception, Mail and Catering.
There are various properties across the estate; therefore an ability to travel will be required by the successful candidate. There is a requirement to carry out site visits and support staff at weekends.
The post holder will also be required to participate in weekend and public holiday on call Rota as part of this post.

The core purpose of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service is to meet the transfusion needs of patients in Scotland.  In support of this, the SNBTS Tissues, Cells and Advanced Therapeutics (TCAT) Directorate is committed to a programme that will enhance the service provided to NHS Scotland in both clinical and operational areas.  SNBTS undertakes research and development which is designed to support the strategic and operational priorities of the organisation, achieve high quality and impact and add value to broader NHS and Governmental objectives. 
This is an exciting opportunity to join the SNBTS TCAT Directorate as a QC Manager. The successful candidate for this new post will be responsible for the day to day management of the QC procedures employed at TCAT sites to ensure that procedures, equipment and facilities are operated according to GMP. The post holder will also coordinate the quality control of a range of TCAT products and participate in QC procedures as required to provide safe and efficacious products according to GMP and meet the appropriate regulatory standards and the requirements for clinical trials. The post holder will have a variety of responsibilities including delivering internal and external projects to strict timelines, and line management of QC staff.
The successful candidate must be educated to degree level with a relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent competence/experience. In addition, the post holder must have 
Demonstrable experience resulting in specialist knowledge of a range of procedures and processes in the GMP QC of tissue and/or cellular therapy products. Experience in supervision/management and the ability to motivate an interdisciplinary QC team in order to deliver a complex testing service is also essential.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Nurse to lead our Clinical apheresis nursing service. The post holder will work collaboratively with operational managers and medical colleagues both within SNBTS and within territorial health boards to ensure the smooth and effective running of Clinical apheresies nursing services across the units in Glasgow Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the clinical apheresis nurses are effectively trained in all aspects of the clinical apheresis The post holder will ensure effective progress on the teams key performance indicators and business plan objectives.
Candidates should have extensive experience in clinical apheresis, excellent communication skills and the ability to adopt a proactive approach to problem solving .The ability to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to the workload are essential; 
Candidates must have current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to Masters level or equivalent. The position will be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh; however travel to Aberdeen and other parts of Scotland is required 


The successful candidate(s) must comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers (where appropriate).
