That the Parliament congratulates Ayr Rugby Football Club on winning the Scottish Premier League, the SRU Championship Cup, the SRU National Cup and the Bill McLaren Shield in the 2018-19 season; further congratulates the players, the coaching staff, office bearers and the many volunteers who support the club on a daily basis; recognises that the club has 584 playing members, including men, women, boys and girls, including approximately 400 boys and girls from age seven upwards, and wishes Ayr Rugby Football Club every success in the new Super 6 League next season in which Ayr, Boroughmuir, Heriot’s, Melrose, Stirling and Watsonians will be representing Scotland.

That the Parliament congratulates the 1st Troon Boys’ Brigade (BB) company’s pipe band on being awarded first place in the Pipe Championship category at the 2019 BB Scottish Bands Contest in front of an audience of over 300 people on 23 March at Hutchesons’ Grammar School in Glasgow; notes that the band, which was formed in 1919, boasts an impressive CV with its name on every major championship trophy it its class; understands that the current band is made up of seven pipers and eight drummers; believes that music allows young people to develop both hard and soft skills and provides them with an opportunity to express themselves, develop their musical talents and work as a team, and acknowledges the hard work, skill and dedication displayed by the BB members and their volunteer instructors.

That the Parliament congratulates the congregation of St Ninian’s Episcopal Church and the wider community of Troon on creating the 7m x 3m tapestry, Great Troon Wall Hanging, which is on display at the church; notes that it depicts highlights of the church's and the town's history, particularly the life of St Ninian, and land and seascapes of the area, using sophisticated embroidery techniques in a style that has been inspired by the tent makers of Cairo, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, and fabric panels at Dundonald Church Hall, the Ayrshire Central Breast Screening Unit and Troon Old Parish Church, and commends the efforts and skills of the many volunteers over the four-year period that it has taken to complete this piece of art.
