Tapestry
This work draws its inspiration from the landscape and the artist's interest in the horizon and its changing appearance due to varying weather conditions. Her work very deliberately involves the use of a restricted palette of colours and simplified form, leading to the creation of restrained works. She often uses old yarns in her work, for example where she has been able to source from disused Victorian textile mills.

Artist Biography
Sara Brennan was born in Edinburgh in 1963 and graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1986 with a BA Hons in Tapestry. She followed this with a year at the National Arts School in Papua New Guinea. She has exhibited in Scotland, Europe and America and is represented in Aberdeen City Art Gallery and Museum.
