The post holder should have extensive post-qualifying experience. In addition, he/she should possess a sound knowledge of reparation law and legal practice, acquired through a degree in law, postgraduate diploma in legal practice and 2 years’ traineeship, plus further relevant post qualifying experience in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court. Particularly desirable will be experience in Health and safety prosecutions, medical negligence and commercial litigation.

NSS, on behalf of the Health Boards and Primary Care General Practice, is procuring next-generation GP IT systems, to be delivered as a centrally hosted managed service, which will be rolled out to all GP Practices across Scotland.  In order to achieve this successfully, the CVSMT is seeking to recruit a Junior Service Manager to support the Senior Service Manager and the Test Manager in the management and delivery of the specified requirements, including analysing requirements, managing changes to requirements and providing technical support to the NSS Test team. The successful applicant will be working collaboratively with three GP IT system suppliers, the NSS Test team, Clinicians, GP IT facilitators and other Subject Matter Experts under the direction of the Senior Service Manager.

You will have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work with health professionals in NSS, NHS boards and Local Authorities. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential.  You should have the ability to manage conflicting demands and differing priorities, and negotiate with and influence both customers and suppliers to agree timescales and deadlines.

The SNBTS Transfusion Team promotes the safe, effective and appropriate use of blood across NHS Scotland. An opportunity has arisen for a part time administration assistant to support the three transfusion practitioners within the North region, which includes NHS Grampian, NHS Highland and NHS Tayside. The role will be based at the Aberdeen Blood Transfusion Centre although travel within the region and occasionally across Scotland may be required.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual educated to Higher level or evidence of an equivalent qualification with excellent verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for a NMC/HCPC Registered practitioner to join our SNBTS Transfusion Team to promote the safe and appropriate use of blood and blood components through the development of national programmes of education, associated quality improvement and clinical effectiveness initiatives. You will be one of the named Transfusion Practitioners for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHS GGC), based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QUEH), and will work closely with NHS GGC staff. You will also work with colleagues across the NHS GGC as required and nationally as part of the wider SNBTS transfusion team.  You should be able to work with limited supervision and demonstrate flexibility in delivering the requirements of the post. Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to adopt a flexible and proactive approach to problem solving is required to promote and champion this national programme at all levels. Candidates should have considerable experience in a blood transfusion, haematology or related specialty.

Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent experience and should have extensive clinical transfusion experience. You will be required to travel between NHS sites and Higher Education Institutes in order to fully undertake all the duties associated with the post and as such a valid driving licence is desirable. The post-holder will be responsible for supporting safe transfusion practice and maintaining good communication channels across NHS GGC as well as supporting other areas covered by the SNBTS Transfusion Team west region. You will become a member of the team assisting in the delivery of the apheresis service which includes blood stem cell collection, photopheresis, plasma and red cell exchange. Venepuncture skills are desirable and good communication skills are essential for this role.  Experience in an acute hospital environment is desirable. This permanent post will be based at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.  The unit is open Mon- Fri 09.00 -17.00 and hours worked are by negotiation. To be discussed at interview.

This is a very challenging but highly rewarding position which will require the successful candidate to have outstanding strategy, leadership and influencing skills. Key to the role is the ability to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and communicate your vision and ideas in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications & Experience Required

Degree level in a relevant discipline or a post-graduate qualification would be desirable or equivalent experience
Evidence of continuing professional/personal development, including management and leadership development.
You will have experience of operating at a senior management level in a diverse, complex, and expanding organisation which requires the operation and understanding of matrix management skills. 
In addition, experience at a senior level in a commercial organisation along with experience of the NHS and the dynamics of the Healthcare system, or other public sector organisation would be a distinct advantage.
You will require the highest levels of communication skills, and an open, supportive and visible management style in order to earn the confidence and respect necessary to deliver effectively the agenda on major change; to develop a culture that encourages initiative, individual and team responsibility and open communication that motivates staff.

You will join a team that delivers a comprehensive Litigation service to the NHS in Scotland, as well as to the wider public sector.  You will have a challenging workload, of clinical negligence and employee accident claims and actions, and will also provide general litigation advice to your client health boards in matters such as mental health law, confidentiality, DPA, FAI(s) and FOI

An opportunity has arisen for an eESS-Jobtrain Regional Support Lead to join the national HR Systems (eESS & Jobtrain) team.
eESS provides NHS Scotland with a single national HR system covering all employee and workforce information including training, employee relations, employee management, and reporting.  Jobtrain provides NHS Scotland with a single national digital recruitment system covering all stages in the recruitment process.
The function of the eESS-Jobtrain Regional Support Lead will focus on leading the delivery and provisioning of advice and technical support for the effective and efficient operation of two national workforce systems, eESS and Jobtrain across all 22 Health Boards in Scotland.
The post holder will be expected to work autonomously, driving projects forward and using innovative ideas and solutions to ensure effective and efficient management of the national workforce systems.  

The role will work collaboratively across NHS Scotland Boards within a “Regional” construct and promote an essential Once for Scotland approach and messages while maintaining and aligning National System Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and guidance to operational needs.
Designing and delivering training solutions across diverse groups in NHS Scotland, presenting complex processes and national guidance to large groups on a frequent basis whilst dealing with often conflicting agendas, ensuring priorities are met.  The role will involve travel around NHS Scotland as required.

The Contract, Vendor and Service Management Team (CVSMT) provides expert advice and services across the National Health Service in Scotland and is part of the IT Strategic Business Unit. CVSMT is the principal point of contact between NHS Scotland and the suppliers of a range of National IT Service contracts, which embrace business and clinical systems at both national and local levels. 

NSS, on behalf of the Health Boards and Primary Care General Practice, is procuring next-generation GP IT systems, to be delivered as a centrally hosted managed service, which will be rolled out to all GP Practices across Scotland.  In order to achieve this successfully, the CVSMT is seeking to recruit a Junior Service Manager to support the Senior Service Manager and the Test Manager in the management and delivery of the specified requirements, including analysing requirements, managing changes to requirements and providing technical support to the NSS Test team. The successful applicant will be working collaboratively with three GP IT system suppliers, the NSS Test team, Clinicians, GP IT facilitators and other Subject Matter Experts under the direction of the Senior Service Manager.

You will have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work with health professionals in NSS, NHS boards and Local Authorities. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
