Quality Improvement in-Practice Training (QIiPT) - Infection Control and decontamination Virtual In Practice Training
At the moment due to the Covid-19 situation, our QIiPT team aren't currently able to provide face to face in-practice infection control training sessions as NES face to face training has still not resumed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We are now able to offer a 2 hour 15 minute virtual In-Practice Training Session.
The training will count towards enhanced CPD hours for the whole dental team. Dentists attending the training will be eligible for CPD allowance.
Any training request received from 1 September 2021 will incur a fee of £150 for NHS practices and a fee of £300 for private practices.
Requirements of the virtual session are that all staff must be able to maintain a 2-metre distance whilst participating. We also require that at least one person is present in the practice to join the session from a mobile device which has a camera or video function to allow a member of staff to demonstrate the decontamination process to the Tutors. Other members of staff may join from any mobile device or TV hook up so long as staff remain physically distanced as per requirements.
If you are interested in booking this training, please complete this on-line Booking Request Form.
Our Business Support team will contact you to arrange a suitable date for your training once we receive your note of interest.
QIiPT are taking part in an exciting nationwide trial evaluating an important new training component on dental antibiotic prescribing. This trial is a collaboration between, NES Dental Clinical Effectiveness involving both the QIiPT team and TRiaDS (Translational Research in a Dental Setting) and the University of Aberdeen.
The standard content regarding Infection control and decontamination will not be affected and this will not add any additional time to the training session.
Further information will be provided if your practice is eligible to take part.
Please be aware that, although this information was accurate when it was produced, some details may have changed as national guidance on COVID-19 has evolved and developed.
