We recruit, train and support volunteer Panel Members who make legal decisions with and for children and young people in children’s hearings, and volunteer Area Support Teams (ASTs) who provide support and guidance to Panel Members locally. You may have heard of us being referred to as the Children’s Panel too.
This statement is in response to two articles published on 23rd January which criticised the care system, including claims of a lack of transparency and process within a children’s hearing.
We are looking for people over the age of 18, from a diverse range of backgrounds, that reflect the children, families and communities of Scotland, that they support. Applications open 12th January to 9th February at 11:59
