Council publishes report on fraud sentencing

The Council has today published a new literature review on the sentencing of fraud offences in Scotland. The review was carried out by a group of expert academics from the University of Central Lancashire and explores three overarching themes: fraud sentencing processes, fraud perpetrators, and fraud victims.

New sentencing guidelines marked in Council’s 2021-22 annual report

Writing in the Council’s 2021-22 annual report, which was published and laid before the Scottish Parliament on 12 October 2022, Lady Dorrian recognised the significance of the two guidelines developed by the Council which cover the process of sentencing, and sentencing young people.
