New booking and ticketing system
Project Update - 17 April 2023
Our new booking and ticketing platform was due to launch across the CalMac network on 25 April 2023. The programme is ready to go-live having already gone through intense testing, an independent assurance audit, five cut-over dress rehearsals and staff are fully trained.
However, we have taken the decision to prioritise dealing with the current challenges around delays to vessel repairs, the effect on the annual overhaul schedule, alongside their subsequent impact on network services. Therefore, we will defer the introduction of the new platform until 16 May. Read our latest customer update from CEO, Robbie Drummond here - our website is currently being updated to reflect this new date and we will continue to keep our customers and communities as we move forward.
To help you, we've shared all the information you need to know here on this dedicated section of our website. It will be updated regularly in the coming days. Use the navigation below to find the information that might be most relevant to you, especially our customer FAQs which hold details on the new platform, including what to expect from the new system, how we'll transfer your current reservation to the new system, and support for regular travellers on managing your 'open' tickets between now and launch.
You'll also find prompts and reminders on our social media channels, and in our ports and offices. Our teams will be ready to help, as always, should you need it.
Project Presentation - We held two sessions on our project presentation on 27 and 30 March, thank you to those who joined, we have shared a recording of the event on 30 March here and published all questions which were asked at the events - alongside responses to each.
