Why?
The processing of personal data is necessary for the SSSC to allow you access to log into the Learning Zone, and nothing else. Logging in will allow you to use this site in it’s entirety and is only used for the purposes of verifying your account.
The processing of saving your favourites is so we can enable you to store favourite learning resources you find on the Learning Zone so you can easily access them.

Change of Purpose
We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason that is compatible with our original purpose. This may be to further integrate your MyLearning account with the Learning Zone to make your experience easier in the future.
If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
We may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with UK GDPR, where this is required or permitted by law.
Retention
The personal information we collect through our Learning Zone platform has the same retention procedures as our MyLearning platform. The information will be retained until you, as the user, deletes their MyLearning account. User accounts which have not been accessed for 10 years will be deleted. Users will be informed in advance of this by email and will be given an opportunity to reactivate their account.
For information on how to delete your account, please see this video. This is in line with our published Retention Schedule.
User accounts that are made on our MyLearning platform but unused for extended periods of time will be put into a Dormant status. This means that an alert will go out to the account holder, letting them know their inactive account will be removed unless they access the platform again. The length of time it takes before an account is flagged as formant will be as follows:
