Scotland's hub for regional economic development.
SHRED (Scottish Hub for Regional Economic Development) will be inactive from 14 March 2025.
SHRED was a platform for collaboration with stakeholders facilitating regional economic development with a focus on achieving this in an inclusive and environmentally conscious way.
The five areas are covered by SHRED were:
• Wellbeing Economy
• Inclusive Growth
• Community Wealth Building
• Carbon Management
• Regional Economic Partnerships (REPs)
While SHRED as a web-site no longer exists, we continue to provide up to date information and documentation of the continuing work of the Scottish Government in supporting these areas. All work that was previously documented on SHRED will continue to be covered on Gov.Scot.

Regional Economic Partnerships (REPs) are collaborations led by local authorities with education and skills providers, and private and third sector organisations.
