The EYC approach requires strong leadership. A Leadership strand takes a strategic overview of all workstream activity and provides direction. The Early Years Taskforce fulfills this role at a national level, but there is also a need for this at a local level. The Driver diagram aim is that by 2016, all leaders in the Early Years Collaborative demonstrate the skills and knowledge to lead for improvement and delivery of a successful collaborative. The Leadership behaviours were discussed at Learning Session 5.
