The Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) published new figures on the levels of staff vacancies in Scotland’s social care services today. 

An eight-week Scottish Government marketing campaign to attract more people to careers in adult social care ‘There’s More to Care than Caring’ launched today. We worked closely with Scottish Government and the campaign advisory group to develop the campaign which will be seen right across the country.

The Scottish Government and COSLA have published the Health and social care: integrated workforce plan, which is the UK’s first to help create sustainable health and social care services. 

The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) successfully delivered its major digital transformation programme in 2018/2019. This included several new and upgraded systems alongside new IT equipment during 2019, at the same time as a 35% increase in applications to the Register as the 2020 date for mandatory registration of support workers in care at home and housing support services approaches.
